Delighted to have joined the discussion on overtourism and infrastructure in Scotland on STV’s Scotland Tonight last night. Thank you to Rona Dougall for her thoughtful hosting and to Sarah Heward, Founder & Director at The Real Food Cafe, Tyndrum, for bringing such valuable on-the-ground perspective to the conversation – particularly around the pressures facing rural communities and infrastructure – were illuminating. The challenge of managing Scotland’s popularity as a destination while protecting our communities, environment, and quality of life for residents is complex, but cant be solved through the catch phrase hashtag#overtourism. Grateful for the opportunity to contribute to this important dialogue about Scotland’s future.
